It's illegal in most countries. An overdose can kill. And there is a controversy over whether smaller doses can cause permanent neurological damage. Not something I advocate.

But those that have used Ecstasy won't shut up about how it makes them feel more empathetic or loving. And some psychiatrists feel that it is useful for treating conditions like post-traumatic stress disorder.
