The Fashionistas is an adult video that has gotten some rave reviews. A high budget picture as far as the genre goes, with great costumes, a plot, and BDSM action. Here's the Aphrodisiology review:

Overall, a good movie worth watching. Helena (Belladona) runs a fetish fashion company. She has a fiendishly clever and sexy plot to seduce Antonio, a big name fashion designer. Antonio is looking for daring new fashion ideas, and Helena certainly has some.

The clothing is great. Latex, leather, victorian frills, etc. The opening scenese are hilarious - and then they make you think, trying to figure out what the hell is going on. And with time, the dramatic conflict is revealed.

Like the big-budget film Pirates, this is not your typical erotic film that was shot in three days. The production value is quite good. The sets are realistic, and sometimes excellent. The dialog flows, and is sprinkled with humor. There are enough sub-plots to make this film interesting on several levels.

Belladona is quite good in this movie - assertive, dominant, but sexy, refined, and elegant. The supporting cast also have well defined roles that they did a good job of filling them.

Plenty of spanking and moderately aggresive behaviours - I got a bit bored with that at times, but this is a BDSM film, after all. The mental facets of the film was more interesting to me - Belladona teasing and leading Antonio, setting him up, springing surprises. The sexual tension and conflict between other characters is also good to excellent.

Things I didn't like: rim-jobs (anal-oral contact). Maybe I'm a prude, or maybe its the fact that this is a sex practice that is unsafe in several ways. Sure, it's only a movie, but I didn't find that exciting at all. There was fisting in one scene - another personal turn-off, but something that appeals to many in the fetish underground.

Was Antonio supposed to be an Italian fashion designer? I swear he has a Russian accent, although I doubt most people would notice.

Remote control use on my part was limited to a few of the rim scenes, and one extended spanking scene. (Being able to view erotica at home, and being able to use a remote control have done wonders for the adult industry).
