Panda Birth's in captivity are now at an all-time high. One of the reasons is that zookeepers in China are now playing video's of mating pandas to their captives - and the hardcore movies have a libido boosting effect on the animals, stimulating them to engage in sex.

Think about it - how sexually active would you be if you were raised in locked into a cage with a member of the opposite sex that you didn't choose? Would you be more likely to engage in a little amour if you were exposed to erotic images and sounds? Maybe so. It sounded like a good idea to conservation biologists in the Chengdu Zoo in China, who were very interested in encouraging the animals to breed.

Going into the first trials of panda porn, the biologists were not sure if the Pandas would respond - it was unclear how their neural systems would respond to visual stimuli from audio-visual systems designed for people. While dogs watch TV and recognize species, individuals and behaviours, cats seem to tune out TV almost completely.

It became clear pretty quick that the Pandas did understand and respond to the XXX fare, although some biologists think that it is the soundtrack.
