Privacy Policy

This site site respects the right to privacy. We do not ask for email addresses or other personal information, and therefore cannot provide that information to any one else. And we think unsolicited commercial email (spam) really sucks - we get more than enough of that crap. You can send me a note via the Contact page without giving out an email address ... The Contact page says that an email is required, but you can enter a bogus email if you want to remain anonymous.

Webservers tend to record a large amount of information related to how many pages and images are served when to who ('who' being an internet IP number) Aphrodisiology does not release this information, and are only interested in summaries for statistical purposes. We would release such information in case of a police investigation involving illegal hacking or other criminal conduct. But we don't really care which of our pages you read ... not only have we read them ourselves - we wrote them. ;)

You don't have to trust us (or any of the other websites you visit) - If you are really concerned about privacy, you can use an anonymizing service. Some of these (like Torpark) are free. Torpark is generally slower than a normal browser, but it obscures the IP address of a computer while browsing, and shuffles the data around in an encrypted form. It's not a foolproof shield if a powerful entity is watching you because they suspect you are involved in terrorism or kiddie-porn. But many computer experts like it and believe Torpark makes it difficult or impossible for the average snoop to monitor your surfing habits.
